GFAR is moving forward to become an owner of the MRMLS. Here is the latest information and things you should know:
GFAR paid earnest money in the amount of $1,500 or 10% of the ownership purchase price of $15,000 in August.
GFAR paid $5,000 for FBS/Flex to convert MLS data to the MRMLS in August.
GFAR members will be converted to MRMLS on January 21, 2019.
A subcommittee was formed to compare GFAR MLS Rules to the MRMLS Rules.
Additional meetings will be scheduled to complete the review.
GFAR will still own its lockboxes and bill members for the service.
GFAR, Kalispell, and Missoula currently use SentriLock lockboxes so all Realtors from those MLS’s will have access to each other’s boxes. Butte will be getting Sentrilock boxes. Helena will remain on Supra lockboxes until their contract expires so those agents will have to request One Day Codes to access GFAR owned boxes etc.
The Executive Officers from GFAR, NMAR, MOR and HAR met on September 19th to review the Operating Agreement. No major changes were identified.
The Helena MLS is converting to the MRMLS on October 22. (If you are a member of Helena’s MLS you have received information).
The Rocky Mountain Association of Realtors (Butte) is converting to MRMLS February 1.
The Bitterroot Valley Board of Realtors (Hamilton) will not be joining the MRMLS.
This will leave four MLS’s in Montana in 2019. 1) Montana Regional MLS; 2) Billings MLS; 3) Big Sky Country MLS (Bozeman); 4) Bitterroot MLS
What You Can Expect:
MLS members will pay GFAR for one month of MLS service fees for January 2019.
MLS members will pay MRMLS for MLS service fees beginning in February 2019.
The billing for lockboxes will change from monthly to quarterly. GFAR will invoice its members separately from the MRMLS. Members should expect to be billed on a quarterly basis for lockboxes at $8 per month or $24 per quarter. Members can also pay GFAR the annual rate of $96.
