File a Code of Ethics Complaint

REALTORS® are different from non-member licensees in that they voluntarily subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics.

File a Complaint

If you believe that a REALTOR® has violated one or more Articles of the Code of Ethics, you can file an ethics complaint.

Before you file a complaint, please contact GFAR. In some cases, it’s possible to resolve questions or differences without entering into the formal complaint process.

However, in other cases, filing a complaint is the best course of action. REALTORS abide by 17 principles in the Code of Ethics. Consumers (Complainants) must allege that one or more of the principles has been compromised.

Prior to filing, familiarize yourself with the complaint timeline and process, and learn what to expect.
